Cause

In Vancouver one in five kids lives in poverty and in the Strathcona and Grandview-Woodland neighbourhoods these numbers are even higher. The Britannia Support Society established in 1992 is dedicated to fostering and maintaining educational, social, cultural and athletic opportunities for Britannia students. The COVID-19 Pandemic has made this work even more necessary. We want to ensure that this unprecedented threat does not disproportionately affect the most vulnerable in our community. Youth in the area deserve every possible opportunity for a shot at success, to be actively engaged at Britannia, to play sports, to compete, to draw, to paint, to design, to play, to sing. They deserve to have the tools to fully participate in the wonder of the city, the province, and the world. Your financial support is needed so that Britannia kids can realize their potential. Britannia graduates have succeeded in all areas, matching achievements that date back through the 114 years history of the school. Lets keep it going!

  • Recent graduates have been awarded Beedie Scholarships, Loran Scholarships, Veazey Scholarships, TD Community Leadership Scholarships, Athletic Scholarships, and UBC/SFU Entrance Scholarships. In 2022 - 15/105 Beedie full four year tuition scholarships went to Britannia graduates!
